“Yeah.” Cortez nodded, looking out as Boss sat down. “Out there is always mysterious, a little scary.” He chuckled, taking a small sip of his drink. “I remember the first time I was out there in my Trident, it’s a bit different when you’re in a small ship, not a big one. You feel like you’re floating in nothing. It’s just so silent if you turn off the audio, just… nothing.” He shook his head. He looked back to Boss, grinning as he leaned against him a bit.
“Mysterious and scary, yes… But that’s what makes it exciting. It’s all different.” He smiled as Steve recalled his first time in the Trident. He wished he could see the man’s reaction from back then but imagining it would have to do for now. “The best is if you aren’t in a ship at all… You just float. Make sure you can get back to a ship, of course… But floating in silence? Completely terrifying. And awesome.” He grinned and put his arm around Steve’s shoulders, keeping him close.
