Boss will never go back to Kashyyyk on his own free will. The fear of losing another brother to the Trandoshans outweigh any sort of “benefit” he may get. He re-lives those minutes of not hearing from Sev to being forced to leave Kashyyyk to his brothers almost killing him for leaving him behind. Kashyyyk no longer exists according to Boss.
